Four generous sponsors have committed to matching the final sale price on five lots in this year’s Art With Heart live and silent auctions. Matching lot sponsors double the impact of the sale of the works they have matched, providing greatly needed funds for Casey House and the community nursing program.
One of the generous contributors is the Shevlen family, a Toronto family of four who have chosen to direct their charitable giving to Casey House. The Shevlens purposefully chose a local organization, where they can see and feel the impact of the donations. “[We] like the evolving model of Casey House, that you are adapting.” says son Spencer. The family has been attending Art With Heart since 2010, and has purchased artwork almost every year. This is their second year making a donation to inspire bids from other attendees.
This year’s additional matching lot sponsors are: TD Bank Group, Rogers, and Norton Rose Fulbright.
Another way to give more is to join the Art With Heart Patrons’ Circle, a group of philanthropists whose leadership gifts support Casey House and contribute essential funds for its community programs that improve the health and well-being of hundreds of people living with advanced HIV/AIDS in Toronto. Patrons’ Circle membership comes with complimentary tickets to Art With Heart, a tax receipt for the maximum allowable amount, and exclusive invitations to preview events. The generosity of Patrons’ Circle members is instrumental in the success of this premiere event.
