Casey House is working diligently to reduce the risk of infection to clients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic while continuing to provide the personalized and compassionate health care we are known for.
In order to limit the spread of the virus our facility is closed to everyone except essential staff and inpatient clients, both of which are screened upon each entry.
While regular on-site day health programming is suspended, we continue supporting clients by phone and by delivering food to clients’ homes wherever possible. Casey House wants people in the safest place, and for most people, home is the safest place.
The inpatient program continues to operate, although respite stays have been cancelled, physical distancing practices are being reinforced, and visitors are only allowed if a client is critically ill, or death seems imminent.
Many Casey House staff members are now working remotely from home, and the incredible clinical team is communicating regularly to ensure the hospital is considering all aspects of care as the situation develops.
