Due to ongoing concerns around the pandemic, and with the health and well-being of our volunteers, staff, artists and attendees in mind, it is with disappointment that Casey House announces it will not be holding Art With Heart this year.
While we hoped with all our hearts to be able to host Art With Heart for its 27th year in October, it is not to be. The dedicated members of the curatorial committee were in the final stages of building a fantastic collection of contemporary art generously submitted by artists and galleries from across the country. Those plans must now be put aside given the pandemic.
The loss of our primary fundraising event this year, responsible for over a quarter of the Foundation’s revenue, will require us to rely more heavily on donations to be able to maintain our grants to the hospital.
What can you do to help? Please consider a donation to support compassionate care that transforms lives. Our expert health care has never been more important for people living with HIV. If you are able, please make a gift today.
We have a responsibility to clients, as well as to all the generous members of the arts community who have supported us for more than a quarter century.
I look forward to the next Art With Heart in 2021 and am immensely grateful to everyone who makes it possible, particularly artists and galleries, curatorial volunteers, Patrons’ Circle members and sponsors, led by presenting sponsor TD Bank Group. Thank you for your continued support of judgement-free health care.
Wishing you safety and good health.
Joanne Simons, CEO, Casey House
