Fruit Fly: Do Gay Men Really Become Their Mothers?
Featuring Leslie Jordan
TWO NIGHTS! November 8 & 9 – 7:30 pm
Enwave Theatre, Harbourfront
CSI Consultancy and BE Salon invite you to a fundraiser for Casey House with TV, film and stage star Leslie Jordan as he performs his one-man show. Best known for his outrageous recurring role as Karen Walker’s nemesis, Beverly Leslie, on the television classic Will & Grace, Leslie has proven to be a lot of things in his illustrious career. The common thread of his fame, whether he’s playing a role or just being himself: the man can tell a story!
This 90-minute show is a proof-positive, reflective, respectful, passionate, loving and uproariously funny look back on his life and his relationship with his Southern Belle mother – Miss Peggy Ann – an indomitable, inspiring steel magnolia who survived Leslie’s tales of woe, regret, success and rewards, and lived to have him tell the tales. With this latest in a series of acclaimed autobiographical stage pieces, the Pixie from Dixie turns to his mother for source material that will entice you to sit back and lend an ear.
Premium: $101.50 (Row AA-EE are Premium $101.50 seats and include a post show Champagne Reception “meet and greet” with actor Leslie Jordan)
