A Message from Gillian Stacey, Chair, Board of Directors:
As you may know, Stephanie Karapita who has been the CEO of Casey House for 8.5 years will be leaving on July 3rd to take on a position with a not-for-profit organization.
The Boards of Directors of Casey House Hospice and Casey House Foundation are pleased to announce the appointment of Victoria van Hemert to the position of Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective July 13, 2015.
Victoria is an experienced health care professional who brings a broad range of skills acquired through her leadership positions in a variety of health care settings. Currently Strategy Officer and Interim Vice-President at the Central CCAC, Victoria has also held the positions of Senior Director, Planning, Integration & Community Engagement at the Central LHIN; Vice-President, Planning & Quality at Southlake Regional Health Centre; and Executive Director of Central East Regional Specialized Geriatric Services. While at Southlake, Victoria led the planning, financing and construction of a new 192-bed long-term care facility. In addition, she has served as a Senior Consultant at Agnew Peckham Healthcare Consultants, and as a surveyor for Accreditation Canada.
Victoria is very much looking forward to working with our dedicated team of staff, volunteers and donors to support our clients who struggle everyday with HIV/AIDS.
The Board of Casey House will shortly commence the process of a formal search for a permanent Chief Executive Officer.
