ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Dr Mariam Abdurrahman completed her psychiatry residency training at McMaster University in December 2014 and works at St Joseph’s Health Centre, Toronto. She completed medical school at the University of Ottawa, completed her Master’s degree in Health Research Methodology at McMaster University, and is completing a diploma in Global Health at the University of Toronto. Mariam is interested in medical psychiatry, women’s health, refugee mental health and geriatric psychiatry. She is involved in research on social determinants of health and is a contributing author of a clinical book on borderline personality disorders in the geriatric population.
