There are several options for making your legacy gift.  The information below can assist in deciding which approach best matches your needs and wishes.

Bequests – The most popular form of legacy gifts, a bequest is a gift that you make to Casey House Foundation through your will. It allows you to support Casey House’s mission, while not touching the assets and funds that you need now.

Life Insurance – Gifts of life insurance are the second most popular legacy gift. There are three main ways to give a gift of life insurance: 1) Name Casey House Foundation as the beneficiary of the policy; or 2) Name Casey House Foundation as the beneficiary of the the paid up group/life insurance policy; or 3) Transfer a paid up life insurance policy to Casey House Foundation by naming Casey House Foundation as the irrevocable owner/beneficiary. A gift of life insurance allows you to make a larger gift than you ever thought possible.

Securities or Mutual Funds – Help improve the quality of life for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS by donating securities, bonds or mutual funds that have increased in value since their purchase. You reduce the income tax that you would otherwise pay when cashing in the security, while receiving a receipt for the full market value.

RRSPs or RRIFs – You can name Casey House Foundation as a direct beneficiary for your RRSP/RRIF assets and receive tax benefits as a result. Your gift will be a lasting legacy to you, your family or anyone you wish to honour.
