Ways to Give

Individual donations: Over the years, donors have been very generous in their support of Casey House. There are several ways donors give to Casey House - some respond to our mail solicitations, some donate in memory of a loved one, in honour of a significant celebration (birthday, anniversary, etc.), through their United Way donations, via our website or through monthly or annual gifts charged directly to their bank account or credit card. To donate now to Casey House, please click on the "Donate Now" button, or contact us at heart@caseyhouse.on.ca.

Corporations: Casey House has been lucky to count upon the generous support of many of Canada's leading corporations - either in the form of gifts to support our Community Program or as sponsors of our special events. For more information, please contact Tracy Hatten at thatten@caseyhouse.on.ca.

Private Foundations: Casey House has been the fortunate beneficiary of the support of many private grant-making foundations - both for program dollars, and in some cases, designated for certain project or equipment needs. For more information, please contact Tracy Hatten at thatten@caseyhouse.on.ca.

Special Events: Casey House holds three "signature" events each year to raise funds: Art with Heart, SnowBall and DQ. Art with Heart is one of this country's leading auctions of Canadian contemporary art, SnowBall is a fun-filled dinner/dance, and DQ is a revue-style show performed by members of Toronto's drag community. For more information about our events, please contact Bill Calkins at bcalkins@caseyhouse.on.ca.

Community Events: Often, local businesses or friends of Casey House put on events where a portion of the ticket price or sale proceeds come to Casey House, or they simply ask for a donation at the door. Casey House may not play a role in organizing the event, but we have been the fortunate recipients of these types of donations over the years. To learn how your business or upcoming event could be of help to Casey House, please phone Michelle Brome at 416-962-4040 ext 238 or email mbrome@caseyhouse.on.ca.

Employee and Community Groups: Many employee groups and community organizations look for ways to support their community by coming together to support a charitable cause. This support may be through volunteering their time and talents at an event, organizing a team to raise funds through an event or by designating a certain portion of their annual proceeds to support Casey House. To learn how your group could be of help to Casey House, please email heart@caseyhouse.on.ca.

In-kind Donations: Not all the support we receive here at Casey House is financial. Countless businesses and individuals have helped us with in-kind donations; from catering staff and services, to coffee, to rentals and equipment. This doesn't even include the literally hundreds of artists and performers who have donated their time and art to our cause. To learn how to make an in-kind donation, please contact us at heart@caseyhouse.on.ca.

Treasures with Heart: Casey House, in partnership with Ritchies, a leading Canadian auction house, offers a unique and easy way for you to turn antique furniture, jewelry, paintings, silver, ceramics and other fine and decorative art into a tax-deductible contribution benefiting people living with HIV/AIDS. For more information or to donate, please contact Bill Calkins at bcalkins@caseyhouse.on.ca.

Donation of Marketable Securities: The 2006 Federal budget makes a gift of publicly traded marketable securities more tax-effective than ever before. Effective immediately, all donations of marketable securities to any registered charity are totally exempt from capital gains tax. A gift of publicly listed securities to Casey House is almost as simple as a cash donation, and comes with the enhanced benefit of allowing you to receive a tax receipt for the value of the security without having to pay tax on its gain.
