Casey House is delighted to report that a construction firm has been selected and contract documents will soon be signed.

We expect to begin construction in late February/March 2015.

We remain grateful to the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and Infrastructure Ontario for their ongoing support of our efforts to build a new health care centre for people living with HIV/AIDS in Toronto today.

With the financial support of our community, the Rebuilding Lives Capital Campaign has raised over $8.6 million of its $10 million private sector goal. More than $1 million of this total has come from The 100 group of donors who have joined together to fund the dining room. Another group has chosen to pool their contributions to name the first floor den in honour of June Callwood.

Our success is due to the dedication of our closest supporters: members of the Board of Directors, Campaign Cabinet, and current and past donors – including many volunteers who have worked tirelessly to introduce Casey House to a new circle of friends. As we enter the Community Phase of our Campaign in 2015, we will continue to widen that circle to include a broader group of philanthropists and community supporters.

We truly appreciate the insights and feedback provided to us by our clients, community partners, staff and volunteers throughout our planning process.

Reaching this point in the project has taken over four years. Designed by renowned architect, Siamak Hariri, the truly inspiring building will allow Casey House to introduce a much-anticipated new model of care for people who desperately need help in managing the many challenges of living with HIV/AIDS.
